This painting, entitled Angus in Field, sold to a collector sometime somewhat recently. It is pretty small, at about 6″ tall or less (oil on cardboard). The subject of the painting is a group of Black Angus heifers in a field on my uncle’s farm. I did the painting about 6 years ago, and a few years ago I showed it to gallery owner Sharon Weiss. She liked it enough to ask if I could leave it in her gallery for awhile…. …Fast forward to a few weeks ago, and I visited the gallery for the first time since graduate school. Upon which she tells me that she had sold the painting. To be honest, I had more or less forgotten that she even had it. So news of the sale was an excellent surprise. Thanks, Sharon!
