from the vault – self-portrait (2005)

This is a painting that I did sometime in 2005.  It is mixed-media (oil, acrylic, charcoal, hair dye and heavy gel gloss) on cardboard.  At the time I painted it, I was in considerable pain with what the doctors termed a “floating rib”.
