Watercolor and acrylic wash on paper. 6-7/8″ x 5″.
Before painting this portrait a couple of months ago, I hadn’t worked with watercolor for a number of years. I chose to give it a try again while knocking out this picture. The subject is my friends’ baby who had just turned 1 year old when I painted it. The background is thinned acrylic gold paint, which I think compliments the blue sections.
